I remember I would turn on my iPod touch, my TV, or my mom’s phone and see my icon, Beyoncé. She was it baby! She had the body, she danced, she sang, she acted, she did everything I dreamed of doing. I would watch old tours and music videos to study the way she moved, how she used her fingers to guide her vocal performance, what shoes she paired with her outfits, her adlibs, and every detail down to the credits at the end. I didn’t know who I was, but something in me knew who I wanted to be.

Gone are the days of their classics “Act Up” and “F Dat Nigga” as they’ve ushered themselves into different business and music ventures. They are finally back with a new LP, RAW, and we couldn’t be more excited! Is it worth the listen though?
